Interacted with locals, sharing my culture and gaining information about theirs.   Used their suggestions about transportation, food, places of interest, and accommodations to form my itineraries.  Gained valuable experience through adapting to a variety of life-styles, solving new types of problems, and becoming immersed in foreign cultures.
